So Busy!

I know it has been almost three weeks since my last blog but I have been SO BUSY! I have been working from home for this scrapbook company for about a year now. I assemble scrap-booking kits from start to finish. All I get are the cut pieces and I do the rest. The last four months of the years are my times off because they are so slow that the four homeworkers they have, are not needed. I love this job because for one, I am able to work from home and be with my children and two, I get to contribute some income for our household... what more can I ask for? I also have a husband who has an amazing talent using his hands (he has been a tile setter for the past 17 years) and helps me with the work and does it perfectly. The only downfall right now is that I have been so busy that I have not been going to the gym as often as I would like despite the fact that I am still loosing weight without going, I CANNOT loose the routine. I need to set a schedule to be able to go my three nights a week again.

Here are two pieces that I have assembled...

Unforgettable Moments

So today was full of excitement. First off, my little Abby decided to get a hold of a crayon this morning and do some damage on our walls and floors. She is the first and only of my three children who did this! It was so funny that I tried very hard to not laugh when I told her she could not do that. However, I ran off to get my camera to capture this unforgettable moment...

One of the best times of our weekends is when we go out as a family. We love to spend some quality time with our children and go have a great time together. Today, we went to our nieces birthday party where we had a ton of fun eating some yummy food, listening to music, and had some funny conversations.

FYI... my husband is a happy man despite the fact that he did not smile in non of these pictures. :)

One Lucky Mother

On Monday when I picked up Angel from preschool, I asked his teacher how he was doing in school since he tends to be a little grumpy and I could tell he was a little mad when I picked him up. She set me aside and told me that Angel is her popular boy in class. Every student wants to sit next to him and play with him. To be honest, I was not shocked because Angel likes to make friends and has tons of friends. Angel is the sweetest boy ever despite his bad temper. He tells me that he loves me all the time and is SO full of energy. Today he wanted me to take a picture of him when he came back from school because he wanted his daddy to see that he took his new shirt to school. My boy is so handsome!!

I decided to let my little Abby eat alone today. Yes, today! I am a clean freak and I HATE cleaning up big messes but I thought to myself... she is 14  months old and you still feed her? I am also very scared that if the pieces she puts in her mouth are not small enough, she can choke. I went for it and it was so cute because I put her plate and cup on her highchair and she gave me this look like... "Are you going to let me eat alone?!" I took her two middle fingers and showed her how to feed herself and it took only a couple of seconds and off she went! Why did I not let her do this long time ago? Priceless moment...

My princess came home from school this afternoon with a big smile which made me smile. This girl is the MOST precious girl you will ever meet. She is full of life and lights up this house with her personality. She has been dancing for almost three years with her dance competition team at Heart N Soul Dance Studio and is an awesome dancer. I LOVE to see this girl dance! I am so proud of what a good young lady she is becoming. She is a very good student because she knows how important getting an education is. Those who know her know that she is one SPOILED girl! Everything her heart desires... we get! We love you my beautiful girl!!

Am I not the luckiest mother in the world?... I SURE AM!!

Head vs Heart

I have been feeling overwhelmed for days trying to make one of the biggest decisions in my life... to have no more children. There has been more cons than pros when I think about it. The biggest con on my list is how high risk my pregnancies have been. I have been pregnant nine times and have three children. I nearly lost my life with my last loss. My husband, sisters, and mother-in-law sadly had to watch that scary moment. I do not remember much because I was loosing so much blood that my body was beginning to shut down. I do remember however feeling very cold and not being able to breath and the first thing that came to my mind were my children. I felt so bad that I thought I was going to die and called for them. I was so scared to think that I was not going to be there for them.  I can say the Lord helped the doctor save my life that day. The day before I left the hospital, the doctor strongly recommend NOT to have more children, but that time, my head and heart were on the same page.

Months later my supportive husband and I made the silent decision to try again and Abby is part of our family now! She is truly our third miracle. I also have to respect the fact that my husband is more than satisfied with his three children and not be selfish and do what I want or "need".  I respect women and men that decide to have a lot of children but I think we will be able to better provide for our children with just these three. I was told by a doctor after my oldest was born that it was going to be hard to have more children and boy was it hard and a very long journey for Angel and Abby to become part of our family! I feel VERY blessed to have these three miracles in my life and SO grateful to the Lord to have given me the opportunity to be able to be a mother. I pray to my Heavenly Father to help us feel comfortable with our decision.

I feel happy to have a husband that is willing to go through a vasectomy procedure and not make me have a surgery because he would feel that it would take his manhood away. He said to me... "You have done and been through enough, it is my turn". It makes him more of a man in my eyes.

I am also very excited that I have lost 62 lbs after a weight-lost surgery almost four months ago and still have way more to go. It has taken a lot of dedication and hard work on my part to loose the weight that when I finally get to my goal weight, I want to maintain it. I need to be healthy again to be able to live longer for my children and the people who love me.

My head is 100% sure that my child bearing years are over but I need my heart to feel that too, and for that a lot of praying will be involved. I know prayers are answered...

My Journey to Blogging Begins!

I woke up this morning with a big desire to begin a personal and family journal and so I thought... why not a blog? I love to blog on my Facebook page anyways. It took me a couple hours to setup a blog with some tips from a friend, YouTube, Google search, etc. And here is the beginning result! I am excited to begin this blog because I get to go back and read what things were going on in my life and with my family. What an interesting and exciting blogging journey this will be.
